History
Most of our neighbors and ourselves moved into the Taft Drive neighborhood in 2002. That first Christmas season you could already tell there was something special about the Christmas spirit on our block as most of the houses put up large amounts of lights. In christmas 2003 I started making yard art penguins and reindeer for my yard. By the end of that season I was wondering what I could do to get my profession as a software engineer crossed with my hobby of Christmas decorating. That lead me to discover Planet Christmas . There I found out about the large comunity of christmas fanatcis that find ways to mix all forms of technology with christmas lights to create magical displays. I was hooked.
In 2004 I bought my first 48 Channels of light-o-rama controllers and built enclosures for them. That year I drasticly underestimated the amount of time synchronizing to music takes and so all the lights appeard to do was dance randomly. You won't much info on that years display since it was not very interesting. However; it did prove the concept and set the bassis for building year over year.
In 2005 I built a mega-tree. This tree is constructed out of 2 10' sections of heavy water pipe.
